Alberta One-Call (AOC) is a not-for-profit company seeking candidates for a Seasonal customer service position in a 24/7 contact centre. You will be supporting customers in Western Canada by processing requests to have underground facilities marked prior to an excavation. The contact centre is located in Calgary, Alberta. The season typically runs from March to November, with a discretionary option to extend.

By working at AOC, you will be employed by an established provincial corporation celebrating over 30 years of damage prevention in Alberta, work in a fast-paced office environment and be an integral part of the Damage Prevention team.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide ongoing customer service handling locate requests
  • Analyze request information to create accurate dig site polygons using mapping software
  • Resolve customer issues and problems with care and concern
  • Phone, chat and email support
  • Achieve performance targets within a team environment
  • Hosting online webinars to train users

The pay rate for this opportunity is up to $25.13/hour +4% vacation pay, paid bi-weekly, based off qualified roles.

Successful candidates will be detail oriented, self-motivated with strong written and oral communication skills. You will be required to problem solve, troubleshoot and excel in a high pressure environment. You must be able to embrace change, learning opportunities and be comfortable with technology and navigating the internet. Required keyboarding speed is minimum 40 WPM.

Candidates require a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, and those with post-secondary education will be preferred. Previous customer service experience is an asset.
